Glimmerglass Triathlon

Cooperstown, NY

Race Overview:
Participants will kick off the race with a 1.5-mile paddle in a kayak or canoe, starting from the beachfront and following the scenic, protected waters of Glimmerglass Bay on Otsego Lake. After reaching the beach, racers will transition to the bike portion, where their bikes will be staged near the lakefront pavilion. The 18-mile bike ride heads north of the park along quiet secondary roads. Once the biking leg is complete, racers will begin the final stretch: a 5K run that crosses the historic Hyde Hall foot bridge and winds through Glimmerglass State Park. (Note: the run distance has been shortened from 10K to 5K this year.)
Want to race with friends? Choose the team option and divide the race into segments for a 3- or 4-person team—each member can take on one discipline for a fun and collaborative experience!
